Back Saver Planters

PICT0811These planters are custom built to come waist high of the primary gardener.  This allows people with back problems or those who can't kneel on the ground, for whatever reason, to continue their love of gardening.

Laurie's mother-in-law, Bea, was sadly prepared to give up her gardens all together several years ago. Kneeling and sitting on the ground had become that uncomfortable. Laurie designed a wood 3x10' long planter and with the assistance of family members it was built in two days in the fall and planted with bulbs. The next year we built a second planter. At the age of ninety Bea continues to create beautiful gardens!

"You want people to landscape with prairie plants?   Why would anyone want to do that?" he asked.

"Because a prairie landscape can be eye-poppingly gorgeous!"
