A rain garden in the front area takes rain water from gutters on the left and right.  The plants in it were chosen for their ability to enjoy both wet feet as water collects, but also dry feet for a prolonged period of dryness.  This picture is of the garden's 2nd year of growth.  There are grasses, plants, and a Sumac that will continue to grow over the next few years.
